Seating chart generator / Privacy Policy

Privacy Policy

Short version: your guest list stays on your device. Last updated 2026-10-16.

Your guest list

Names, tables, rules and the PDFs you export are made inside your browser. Seating Chart Generator does not upload them and has no account system. The list is saved automatically in this browser’s local storage; the “Save project file” button gives you a copy.

What is stored in your browser

Your project (local storage), and if you bought a license: the license key, an ID for this browser, the end date of the license (if it has one) and the time of the last check. “Remove license key” deletes them and frees the activation. There are no cookies and no advertising or analytics scripts.

What our server sees

• Visits: the page, the country, whether the visitor looks like a bot, and the referring site’s host name. Not your IP address and not a cookie.
• License checks: your license key and the browser ID go to our server, which checks them against our own records. Our logs keep only a short hash of the key, never the key, a name or an email.
• Orders: when you pay, Waffo gives us the email address and country you entered at checkout and the amount paid. We keep them with the order, together with your license key (encrypted, plus a hash of it), to email you the key, match refund requests and answer support. Nothing is kept for any other purpose, and the email never appears in our logs.
• After a purchase: the order number in the return address and a token your browser received when it started the checkout are used to fetch your license key once.
• Refund form: the key and email are sent to find your order and ask Waffo for the refund; neither is written to our logs.
• Support: if you email us we keep the email for as long as the matter needs.
• We get a short notice of each sale, refund or problem (product, amount, country, order number), not your email, key or card.

Payments

Waffo processes payments as merchant of record. We never see your card details. Waffo’s privacy policy covers what it collects.

Fonts

PDF fonts are served from this site; nothing is loaded from Google or another third party.
